Still Air Range

Still Air Range – is the maximum distance an Aircraft can fly in nil wind conditions; it depends on the quantity of fuel after deducting the stipulated amount of reserve from the total fuel on board.

Still Air Range = Fuel On Board-Reserve ÷ Fuel Consumption

Flight time – is calculated by dividing the distance of the route flown by the ground speed of the Aircraft.

Flight time = Distance ÷ Ground speed

Flight Fuel– is calculated by multiplying flight time with fuel consumption.

Flight Fuel = Flight Time × Fuel Consumption

Excess Fuel – is calculated by deducting the Flight Fuel (fuel used in the flight) from the total fuel on board.

Excess Fuel = Fuel On Board- Flight Fuel
