Location Indicator is a four letter code, issued by ICAO, and are assigned to the Aeronautical Station.

A = Letter issued for Mumbai FIR
BB = Name of the place Example BB = Mumbai
First letter of the Location Indicator denotes AFSRA
AFSRA- AERONAUTICAL FIXED SERVICE ROUTING AREA
Whole World has been divided into 20 AFSRA.
INDIA is issued letter “V” as its AFSRA
Second letter of the Location Indicator denotes FIR
Third and Fourth letter of the Location Indicator denotes place name.
