Boeing Vs Airbus
There has been an ongoing discussion for ages regarding which aircraft is better or worse.
I have been blessed of having flown both of them, so I might be able to give my inputs.
The Boeing is a plane, which can be flown at one’s will.
On Boeing, If you’re high on approach at 9 miles and high by about 1000 feet, one can hand fly the plane and bring it back on profile by 1000 feet gate Above ground level.
On Airbus, If you’re high on approach at 9 miles and high by about 1000 feet, we can hand fly the plane and bring it back on profile by 1000 feet gate Above ground level, but only within the parameters as allowed by Computers controlling the Flight Control laws.
Lets look at some important points regarding both planes:
Boeing:
For every waypoint, ideally one has to select the VOR/NDB station.
Airbus:
For every waypoint, there is an Automatic selection of the VOR/NDB station.
Boeing:
For changing the Altitude of A/c, one has to press a button, either “Level Change” button, “VNAV” or “Vertical Speed”.
Airbus:
For changing the Altitude of A/c, one has to Push a knob meaning “Managed Climb/Descend” or Pull “Open Climb/Descend”, in addition to V/s knob.
